1996-98 , thereabouts …now fixed , waiting for a deeper day …

And, now the board is all cleaned of old wax , it looks MUCH better than this.

What sort of wood is that ?

Polyester or epoxy resin ?

how many layers of glass each side ?

The fin wood is mahogany

The board is chambered balsa

The resin is Epoxy…NOT!! Ha! It is polyester.

3 layers of 6 oz per side holding it on.

Soulslider- first photo is True Ames fins aprox 4.5". Glassed onto Chano’s latest board. Second and third photo are birch plywood fins made by Shipman glassed on by Stingray. I don’t know the sizes.

Here’s an 80’s board that I’m fixing. Need to sand the hot coat. Fins are really fat. Look like they are foam core.
