I love that 12’3" Burford. Almost all my gliders were shaped from it. Best foam I know, BTW.

Here’s one I made last year for a friend. He works for a luxury fashion brand and he had me glass a Hermès handkerchief featuring basque patterns of pilotaris and the like. Wooden nose and tailblock. Over 11’ for sure but I don’t recall the exact dimensions.

New 11’8" I started to shape for myself. The blank is a US BLANKS since my beloved BURFORD 12’3" has become impossible to find here in France.
I ordered this one over 4 months ago with a 1/2" balsa center stringer and two offset black glue-ups. Shipments had a hard time during the Covid crisis and it seems that a return to normal is still to come.
Customers hesitate when I tell them that their new boards might take more than 4 months… Not good for business.
Also, I donated part of our real estate to my elder son who lived near Paris until now but with the arival of his third little girl he has plans to have a new house built near ours. Unfortunately, that means taking down my workshop so I am looking for a new one right now.
I started this glider in Robin Kegel’s shop in Bidart (so many thanks again, Robin. For those who don’t know him, Robin is the guy behind Gato Heroï and Creme surfboards) but I need to find a place of my own.
It’s a mini-glider at 9’6", poly blank and epoxy glassed on the lighter side. It’s pretty beat up but still my favorite board. I shaped it around 2015-2016 with the bottom contours inspired by a Mitsven 9’6" singlefin mini-glider that I had years earlier. I’ve yet to try a true cross-country board but for the amount I get to surf and the way I like to surf this board just works.
