Show your gliders

balsa - thank you very much for sharing your beautiful boards - inspirational to be sure - my condolences for your lovely Sylvie - may her memory bring you joy.

So sorry to hear the sad news, and glad you had this one last trip together. I lost my daughter and my wife of 33 years awhile back, and it has been devastating to me. I have a strong faith I will see them again, but that doesn’t diminish the pain of missing them. I hope you are getting some support through this difficult time.

I wish I had known you would be in John Mellor’s neighborhood, I would have liked to make the trip to meet up. Those are some great pics! Yes I would love to see more photos.

A childhood friend of mine owned a big plot of land on the beach near Pavones, but sadly due to government corruption and some dishonest lawyers he ended up losing everything, and barely got out alive. I know the land there is beautiful, but he unfortunately encountered the ugly underbelly of paradise. I haven’t spoken with him in awhile, I think he is back in Hawaii, probably on the Big Island, where he used to live.

I appreciate the comment about the rails, I am threatening to finish up a glider project I started then abandoned long ago, and so the design details interest me.

Sorry for your loss.

It is something we all expect but are never prepared for.

May she rest in peace…

Huck, I didn’t know about your wife and daughter. You know I can relate to that and I do share your pain.

Actually, we were not near John Mellor’s place, we stayed in Huntington Beach, but John had to see doctors in LA and he suggested to meet us in HB. We had a drink together, talked about Plaskett Creek 15 years ago (yeah, time flies) and many other things; John is having some health problems but I don’t know much more. He told me he would keep me informed with his exams results.

I am going to send you photos with a We-Transfer as there are a lot of them. Watch out for your e-mail box.

Later, Guilhem.
