Take a shortboard… make a tiny bit wider, also a tiny bit wider in the nose and the tail. Little thicker than usual, say about 2 3/8". A little bit more rocker than usual, smoother rails. And then Single to double concave, channels, swallow tail, double wings. Anybody care to comment on how they think a board like that would perform in various types of surf? Also, how about cutting the swallow tail a tiny bit deeper and smoothing the points a bit.
sounds like a tom peterson fireball to me… ask tom curren if they go alright he rode one in 10 foot indo http://www.feraldave.com
Sounds pretty interesting. The pic link didn’t work out right and I couldn’t find anything in google so any more info would be cool. Got any idea on how that smoothed/deepened swallow tail would turn compared to a regular one? How about using 3 channels instead of 4? Do you think that might make the board track more?
