single fin placement/bottom concave??

I’m thinking about shaping myself about a 6’4"-6’2" semi-retro single fin. I want to use a flexible-style fin and was wondering what would be the best placement for the fin? Any ideas on how a board like this would ride? Also, what is considered the best bottom style for a single fin board of this style(concave, V, etc…)?? Any ideas would help.

Good timing I just made one 6’3" and have had 6 really fun sessions on it . Number one I set my 10’" box starting at six inches from the tail. It should of been more like 4.5" I have a 8.5" harbour flex fin that rides really good for 90% of the time the other ten percent is when it pops out and I eat it. Usually in a steep bottom turns or on a big cutback. May want to think about a 9.5 flex or if you set the box further back you will have that option of pushing the 8.5 fin back even more. I ride the thing with the fin all the way back so the front 3" inches of box is dead space. I have a slight concave running through the board maybe an 1/8th to flat then 1/4 v through the fin box area . Glass is 6-4 top and 6 bottom. Feels like extra weight is slower out of the blocks (paddling in) but it motors once you set that first bottom turn. Ok good luck
