Six days away from our crossing the North Atlantic in a 21 foot flats boat

www.CrosstheAtlantic.com Sorry for not telling everyone earlier, but we were only funded a couple of days ago by Interstate Battery and since last year’s trip was canceled, I didn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up unless I was 100 percent sure the trip was on. IT IS ON!!! June 27, 2009

cross the Atlantic

This is a fundraiser for the wounded heroes and the families left behind. We are selling shirt through the website and on the stops along the journey. We will be traveling from city to city giving rides to some of the wounded heroes (many of them awarded the Purple Hart) along the coast just off shore. We will be traveling from Tampa, Fl. around to the east coast stopping at many of the cities along the way up until Boston, Mass., where Ralph and I will be traveling along the rest of the voyage up to Northern Canada over to Greenland, Iceland and then on to Europe.

We could still use some sponcers to help us with the purchase of a life raft, radar equipment, and many other items. But we are going with or without on June 27,2009.

Check out the website: www.crosstheatlantic.com and think about purchasing a shirt, it is for a good cause.

Good luck, godz speed.

Good luck. I have donated and will follow your trip.

Just wanted everyone to know that we have just completed our 7,000 mile crossing.  We are now in London.  We arrived there yesturday, to claim our titles:  smallest powerboat to cross the Atlantic; First flat boat without a cabor or keel to cross the Atlantic; and the longest ocean voyage in a flats boat.

We have surfed around icebergs (actually wakeboarded with my 8' funshape).  Seen incredible landscapes, sunsets, and a ton of other stuff.  Been on flat glassy seas to 17 foot waves.  Came close to capsizing many tilmes, but managed with God's help.

The storty is listed in the blogs on www.crosstheatlantic.com  (Go back and read them from the beginning)

Bravo!  That was hardcore.  Great cause.  How did I miss this in June?  Mike

Everyone said it was impossible, but I am here in London as I type.  Over two months and some incredible video.  Hard times, fun times, scary times, but we made it.  thanks Mike

You are amazing.  I am so glad you all made it.  May God bless you for bringing attention to this cause.
