Skill 100 Planer wiring explained

I am hoping Pete C can weigh in, or anyone else with knowledge on rebuilding Skill 100 planer.
My question is: The Trigger Switch wiring. I am putting one back together from various parts. I have looked at a few planers after removing the handle cover and unwrapping the protection layer on the trigger mechanism. It seems they are all wired slightly different. I want to make sure it is correct (obviously).
Usually the 2 black wires from the motor are connected at the bottom of the “block” and white/black power cord wires at the top (sometimes white on the right). Looking for advice or an explanation. Thanks in advance!

On the original Skil switches, the motor leads connect to the end closest to the trigger (order doesn’t matter). The cord black and white connect to the rear terminals, with white on the right (trigger down). Ground (green) goes the screw below where the cord comes in. If you have some other switch, use a continuity tester to see how the terminals connect. Some DPST (double pole, single throw) switches go left to right, other front to back.
