Skip Frye restoration and resin tint repairs...

I’ve got a couple of ooooold Skippers salvaged from garages around SD that really would love the kind, healing touch of a master restoration artist. One is a 5’6" keel fin triple stringer that at one point was a knee board (it had a full deck pad that was peeled off at one point). The second is a 6’5" pill-esque shape, originally kind of hull-ish looking single fin, but at one point converted to a tri fin, then converted to a twin keel fin, then once again converted (by me this time) back to a single fin with a Gephardt marine ply flex fin. Both boards are in rideable condition…but they are not water tight and don’t look too pretty.

Anyone know where I should take these pups for restoration that won’t break the bank? How much am I looking at?

I also have a couple of Pavel’s that both are resin tint boards (a twin keel and a log), that have a few dings needing repair. I love these boards and don’t want a poor color matching job done, any advice as to where to go down here in SD?

Thanks for the advice!

Joe Hendig does really good color matching work.

Lokbox is great at bringing back boards from beyond the grave.

LokBox based out of Moonlight? These boards are still rideable (not beyond the grave yet…), but I’d like to get em in great shape…not to be wall hangers but to be ridden!

I know this guy Lance… just up the street. hahahaha
