My most recent board is done being shaped and its ready for its glass. I’m doing color work( I did plenty of looking at 233+ tape, lap lines, the works) and I’m ready for color. I’m praying that the tape won’t bleed. But anyways, the colors I am thinking are either red bottom and laps, and a white deck, or maybe a sea-green bottom and laps with a darker green swirled in, and white deck. What do you think? Any suggestions?
As always, thanks for reading.

I wouldn’t worry about the tape bleeding. You can also use 3M 2727 or 2214 for color laminations and it’s about half the price. The high temp tape is great but it’s a bit much for what you have going. I always like the abstract stuff with a few colors in the swirl.

You bring up a good point about the tape and perhaps you can clarify. I’ve always used 233 for anything in contact with resin. Had a bad experience 15 years ago with tape adhesive melting and ever since have only used 233. What exactly is 2727 and 2214 suitable for and what is it not suitable for. I’ve seen those tapes before and they are considerably less costly but I always shied away because I wasn’t sure…better to be safe than sorry. So in your expert opinion where can I use these other tapes and where must I stick with 233+???
