9’6" classic log / noserider

6’2 Mod Fish

6’4 Classic Fish…I know its huge for a fish…see my “Surfboard for Dad” thread

I am waiting on materials for both, that were lost in shipping. And a triple stringer blank from clark that was suppossed to be in FL on the 14th…still not in.

Both boards need to be done Dec. 10th

just finished foiling a few sets of wood fins for a 6’4" x 19" x 2 3/8" and a 6’6" x 19 1/2" x 2"… both are balsa sando…

5’10" epoxy quad fin ‘shortboard killer’ - a cross between a mod twin fin shorty, fish and egg, basically.

6’0" single fin disc, also epoxy

both stringerless - and all fingers/toes crossed i can suss out this epoxy business.

just made a 5’10" quad fin fish with poly, and while i admit to being hard on my boards, already have 3(small) open dings - one from hitting my hard head on it - and dents. it’s only i month old for chrisssake! tired of stupid repairs…and brittle materials.

beautiful work.

Currently working on a big fish, 6’7" x 16 x 21 x 15.5 x 2.75.

7’2"x20.5"x2.5" pin

stringerless 1.8 molded EPS

4" full length deck kevlar “stiffener”

1mm Bamboo+1/16" balsa lam

glass ons

(painted glassed and lamming fins on)

9’2"x22.5"x2.75" baby squash

machine shaped stringered urethane (CMP high performance shape)

1/16 balsa top and bottom

koa nose block

blue resin pen blank tail block

2+1

(waiting to have it’s center box hole routed in)

Been island hopping for business and it’s been raining cats and dogs here this past week or two so production operations in the front yard is at a standstill.

we apologize for the delay and thank you for flying sando-onthebrain-lines

5’5 twin or quad, havnt desided yet fish.

Have just made stands this morning and am currently working on a template.

Stay tuned for more.

Aqua, glad you asked…Just finished shaping and painting this one. 6’4" x 20.25" x 2.50" rounded pin, hips/wings, chined rails from nose up to in front of fins, slight concave in the nose blending to flat in front of center then to single concave to double concave with a vee out the tail basically it is high performance mini longboard. I may go with FCS thuster on this one.

I also have couple fish to finish off and paint. ones a 5’8" the other is a 5’10"

Currently working on a mutant fish: 6’7" x 20" x 2 3/4"

it’s got a lime green airbrush now though

good thread Gary ! [I nearly didn’t look at it because of the title]

Great to see the boards people are making . I’d be keen to hear a follow-up in a month or so " so…HOW did your boards all ride ?"

Hicksy has TWO on the go at the moment , but when they are done , I’m hoping to make a pilgrimage to "the garage " , and do a 9’ mal [“longboard”] from the [close tolerance this time , thankfully !] blank sitting there .

… In fact , it’s been sitting there for MONTHS …hope it hasn’t warped / twisted !

Howzit Shipman, Nice board, looks alot like what one of my shapers calls a "Berzerker" and they work unreal.Aloha,Kokua

8’0" egg single fin. purple tint (maybe). glassing will begin after finals. shaped when I went home for thanksgiving break. will glass it when I go home for christmas break.

shippy’s “berzerker” , shippy’s “bizzareker” …yep , they both fit . [from one of many ‘avatar’ photos…here’s a shot of ben shippy , with full shaping gear / head protection on…or perhaps it’s actually his ‘nightclubbing’ gear ??]

could you possibly post a close up shot or 2 or 3 of the rails on those “in progress” boards.

Howzit Aquafriend:

I just finished this 6’ 6" “Cuttlefish”, that’s what I call it. Has a single to double-barrel to V bottom, flat deck with chined deck rail, thruster fin setup.

First made one of these in early seventies, thought I’d resurrect it and modernize it. This is the fourth one I’ve done in the last two weeks. Also did a 7’ 7" for myself with a very strong concave on the deck.
