hahaha - you guys are funny. Soylent green, I remember the movie - especially loved the film they showed in the 'death room'! Soylent green is...people!
The local Lassens health food store sells a drink called a "green monster" - has something like spinache, broccoli, kale, celery, and I don't know what else. Tastes pretty good, but man, I LOVE the way it makes me feel. Like my body just craves the stuff! I especially love to squeeze some fresh orange into it, because I am a citrus-aholic. I used to love the wheat grass shots at Jamba, but you pay so much for so little - now I get this stuff instead.

Occasionally my wife will have me go cut some aloe vera leaves from our plants (some of the plants are just too strong and pungent tasting, but there is one type that isn't as strong, thats the one we use), and she juices it the Jack La Lanne juicer. She thrives on the stuff, helps her vision and gives her pep immediately. The juice is so thick and gooey and unappealing - I don't like the way it tastes or feels going down - like a raw egg! I used to drink it, and tell myself, I know this is good for me, so, nasty as it is, I bet this still feels better than an IV. And man, it does do wonders for my digestion, and gives me energy and stamina.
But now I have found that if I mix it with BBQ sauce and then fry some onion and veggies and meat in it, it makes a thick, tasty sauce. I have also found that if I mix into it some ice cubes, plain yogurt, a bit of honey, and some fresh orange in the blender, the stuff makes a really delicious smoothie! I can't get enough.
Oh yeah, and it has another side effect. I won't go into it, but suffice it to say, you may want to put the kids to bed early and unplug the phone.
And another thing its good for. Cut the leaves open, and take the gooey slime, and just smear it into your hair, while you hair is still wet after a shower, then comb it out. Your hair will dry kinda stiff, like you used hair spray. Then comb it out again - voila! Your hair will feel softer and silkier and healthier than it ever has.
When you've had too much sun, you can cut a leaf open and smear it on your sunburn. Instant relief.
Just overall good stuff, IMO.
