Howdy there Ben…No, I think Eli had watched a bitof that [Mexico] comp but not me. I think I was supposed to be there with Ted but theres been some change in the corporate structure at Rip Curl and that shoot didn’t get up. Maybe next year.
Just got back from West Java… the joint i visited last year. This time with Eli and 2 mates. More of a cultural tour than surf. Waves not so good but place and people great.Unfortunately also returned with a staph infection which I’m currently fighting with the aid of a shitload of anti biotics.
… flies over here in 5 days. I hope to be over it by then. We were planning a trip to Flores, but not if this is still hangin in…
…Last good waves I had were at Lakey Peak. It’s always good but how much fun for me depends on the crowd. Had some good deep tubes at Periscopes (love that wave-) on my 6’4" widowmaker , and heart in mouth speed runs at low tide Nungas on my 7’2" Arakawa.
…That was 2 weeks ago. can’t see me surfing for another 3…
