Just recentley somebody mentioned they had discovered a spray on sealer for EPS. I saw some in a craft store yesterday too, and it says it seals anything porous. But before I try it, I wanted to know how others had done with these spray on sealers.Do they work? And do you actually need to seal an EPS blank?
Come on! Surely someone has tried it!
I, personally, seal all my EPS boards with epoxy and carbon or S-glass…

I’ve never tried it because it’s all the small voids in between the foam beads that I’m trying to seal so it doesn’t soak up too much resin and make the glass job heavier. For that I need a thin paste like spackle and water or the microballoon slurry. Of course the denser eps’s may not need to be sealed like that. Opinions vary. Maybe your spray would be good for densities over 2#? The archives are full of this stuff. If you use it, post up and let everyone know how it worked for the density you’re using.

Will do. I’m using #1 EPS and thus should probably seal it, unless I want to use my 3 litres of resin on this one board. Thanks for the responses.
