"i am planning on paddling (SUP or prone) to false cape from Sandbridge (from the pier or even possibly the market) and I envisioned that using a prone board towing a smaller board with gear, "
Hey Marc,
Ive been wanted to ventureto the south side of sandbridge as well… also I here pirates tales of amazing point breaks and amazing coves north of fishermens island on the eastern shore that would a perfect place to test run the beast…Sharks said to be maneaters protect virgin barrels off the clam filled mud flats …so say the fisherman ive talked to…
My ex wife lets me build boards in her garage…never done a styro epoxy… but if you need any help let me know… Im thinnin of doin a poly paddle soon.
Bob
Hey Bob, when you do that poly paddle, make sure you post every step of the way here on swaylocks. I’ve heard/fantasized about many breaks on the eastern shore that you can only reach by boat or perhaps paddle. I’m actually more excited about the adventure aspect opposed to the waveriding aspect of paddling.
Ambrose and OldGrom, I've made two boards that are ridable but not to the quality that I would have the confidence to shape a paddleboard from. Money is the only reason why I haven't shaped more and I would like something reliable the first time out. thanks for the help though. I probably should just go for it anyway, huh?

YES!!! Listen to master yoda, “Do, or do not. There is no try.”
And keep us posted. And take Bob up on offer to mentor. You can do it!
