Starting my "One board a year"....again.

So I just ordered my blank from Walker. I’m going to start shaping my log for 2007 next week. I’d “like” to try an epoxy glass job on it instead of poly for many reasons. It’s been a while since I’ve been on here, and my skills are more than likely a little rusty at best. Is there a “Go To” thread for using Epoxy on a poly blank? I want to have everything in place and ready to go by the time I’m ready to start glassing…Thanks for any help.

just use a little denser foam to reduce pressure dents.

aside from that, it’s really all the same.

give the epoxy primer a read-through.

Search for Silly’s epoxy stuff. Can’t go wrong…

The most important thing in my view is you have more time. More time to drink beer. Or, go for a surf while your waiting for the stuff to harden. Mike

yeh, mike, but it doesn’t smell as good…

What is the planshape on this years model? Did walker give you any trouble ordering up a single blank? Heard they were right after the day. What blank did you go with? Have fun epoxing.

No problem on a single order at all. I faxed what I wanted to them, he (Joe) called me back within 10 minutes because he had a question on the rocker I wanted, and then told me he would have my blank shipped from the factory to Mitch’s in Solana Beach by this Friday…I was super stoked. We’ll see…Thanks for all the advice. I REALLY want to go epoxy, but something keeps telling me to stick to poly…Kinda gives me the warm fuzzies inside
