Hi, just trying to repair a creased board and also a snapped board but not sure the best way. Questions I have but can’t find answers to are - should i remove all the glass around the crease and just reglass it???(and whats the easiest way to remove the glass), if the crease is only on the bottom (the glass is cracked) do i only need to glass the bottom and to the rails rather then go right round ect. If anyone knows any good websites that demonstrate this or any good books please let me know as i want to start out doing ding repairs and eventually get into shaping
ta.
Hello Poseidon ,
I’ve been fixing boards for about 4 years. The book I like best for repair work is “The Ding Repair Scriptures” by Goerge Colendich. Some of his stuff is a little out dated and you have to go along with a “hippy” theme. Most of the shops in the San Diego area have it. Make sure you use Surfboard Resin. The crease may be a broken stringer so you might have a bigger problem than you think. It’s fixable but not just a little Solar Res job. Broken board is a big job too! I don’t want to get you down I just recomend starting out with a rail ding or something small.

heh heh heh… Felt like saying that… Actually if you go to the recources and then under the collected building hints it explains how to do it… Forgot which volume, but its in one of them.
