I think “The State of S” was supposed to come out last September '04 in San Diego, Solana Beach, and Santa Barbara. Don’t know, I haven’t seen it. Maybe somebody from one of those areas might know?

Brian hasn’t been with DHD for almost a year. Darren Handley Designs sold its label to the big group effort, BASE (NEV, Simon Anderson, DHD, Dahlberg, Maurice Cole, Pipedreams).

nev is out of base and doing his own label and going in new directions with some different stuff …
very amicable , he still gets production boards for retailers and overseas orders glassed at base , but all team boards and special customs and r&d gets done at his new revamped mermaid beach shop …

One of the more high profile guys actually doing R&D??? What’s the world coming to? Could this actually catch on with others or is Nev just pissin’ up a rope? Will the CA high profile guys take a page from this? A small R&D operation that actually produces better than staus quo product for team and specialty customers… what a concept. Kinda like most of the rest of the business world does.
I can only congradulate Nev for his forsight. Finally one guy who actually is looking forward.
