I am planning on buying a Donald takayama(stephen slater model)Nose is 17 3/4 Mid is 22 3/8 tail is 14 1/4 thickness 2 5/8 My basic question would be… what type of waves is this longboard best suited for?

I have one I got used for $300 a couple of years ago. I would say it is great all around, but not a log. Also, it rides a little more like a single fin on the bottom turns so you have to carve the turns. A great board for athletic riders with surfing experience, not a beginners board not a summer board at all. I’ve taken mine out in up to a few feet overhead and felt fine on it, but it stinks in small mushy waves.

Thanks CT, I don’t think then it would make such a good all around board for Florida waves.LOL
