im not sure but i thought that i had seen this name somewhere in this forum before, my younger brother got this old board out of a barn. Its says foot loose shaped and blessed by steve levy. i did a search and came up with nothing in the archives, but i figured the masters that visit the site might know who he is.
so i was at my friends house today (the board owner) and i saw the board sitting in his garage. It had a few dings on it, so i offered to fix them.
it’s an interesting shape. it’s a 7’2", 15n x 21wp x 13 3/4t; 3 3/8 thick. it’s a 2+1 set up with a box center fin, the two side fins are glassed on tho. it says “super loose” all over the board, which makes sense because i measured the fin cant to be 15 degrees!
on the bottom, there is a spoon shaped concave in the nose where the yellow oval is in the picture. it then goes to a flat bottom, then to a v in the tail. on the stringer it says "No. 42 Shaped and Glassed by Steve Levy ‘super loose’ ". also, on the stringer behind the center fin it says “7’2 classic for myself”.
there is a sticker on it that says hawaii surf and sport, north shore hawaii
anyways, if anyone knows any info about it (year, shaper, shape, anything) please fill me in…
