Stevo's board #4

G’Day all,

Here she is, board number 4, the first one I’ve posted. It’s the fastest tri fin I’ve ridden and doesn’t need much work to get it moving, I think that might be the flyers at work? It’s got good speed out of cutbacks, and is a loose as I need off the top.

Dimensions:- 6’0", 19", 2 1/4". At Tail 14"-at Nose 13". 7 inch tail. Wide point stretches back about 3 inches from midpoint. Rails as you might be able to pick up in the photo’s are really quite thin (accidental). I thought that might ruin the thing, but they don’t. Single to double.

Interested in your comments. Has anyone else made/ridden something with a similar setup. What do you think of this tail type on this sort of board. The whole back end of the board feels nice under foot.

Cheers

Stevo.

Well , that’s interesting ! [ in view of my recent ‘stinger’ thread ].

Looks to have PLENTY of rocker ! …probably goes vertical easily , I would imagine ?

Thin rails and wing / flyer …feels good , eh ??

well done mate …living proof that we are not ALL fish and longboard riding old men at sways !!

ben

p.s. …what ARE the nose and tail rocker measurements please , mate ?

Yeah mate,

It does feel good. To put it one way, it makes me feel like it’s easy to get into the position on

the wave I want to, haven’t been able to say that about too many recent boards I’ve had.

Does change direction off the bottom and get vertical real easy, maybe that’s the feeling I’m getting

from it that is giving me the most enjoyment. The rocker may be main design characteristic that does

it for me, rather than anything else?

You can tell I’ve been lurking round here for a while…I stil had to throw in the fish tail.

Stevo

and …did you make the fins ?

how big are they ?

and how far from the tail tips , please ?

ben

Nah,

Didn’t get around to the fins, they are Hexalites by Fin Solution I believe. They market them as being ‘S2’s’. Will let you know the dimensions next week.

Rear fin is 3 1/2" from tail…Sides…will let you know.

Stevo

Stevo,

Nice board! I’m working on a 6’6" right now. Was wondering what you used to set the fins on the board. Did you use a bead of lam resin? Or did you use two part epoxy? Hot glue gun?

John

Looks good stevo. Keep up the good work. Post up one more for Newy Swalockians.
