Stoked on first board

I just got the first board I shaped back from glassing, and I’m really pleased at how well it turned out ! I made quite a few mistakes, but none that couldn’t be corrected. It is a little thinner than I wanted, and I may have left the nose rocker a little flat (5") but hey for the first one I’m happy.

It is a 7’0", kinda started out as a big guy thruster but ended up with more of a “gunny” shape, hopefully it will work well in Costa Rica (I’ll be there in 2 weeks)

Thanks to everyone on Swaylocks who contributes their knowledge and experience to make it possible for us rookies to make boards. Thanks also to Tim Nolte for the shaping tips and excellent glassing .

Jim,

I was thinking about getting Tim to glass a board of mine. It is a couple of inches short of yours but about the same shape. Can you give me a ballpark figure on his cost?
