i need some fins for a 5 fin set up i just finished. being in vancouver canada it was difficult finding some future fins everyone only carries fcs up here. so i finnaly found a set at second wave in north van. but they were these pro teck super flex fins. i only needed two for the rear side fins but bought the set anyways. has any one had any experience with these fins?they are double foiledand mega flexy. i figure they would be good with this set up . looen it up a bit.mind you i have never ridden a five fin board. its maiden voyage is next weekend. any feed back would be great.
they look to big to me
i got some advice
make some to a smaller template like Gs size
and move your center forward
I like proteck fins in general, but those orange super flexys are too soft for anything but a learner’s “safety” board, in my opinion. They (proteck) make other fins that work well (the clear ones w/ red trim, the carbon ones, etc) but I would recommend that you see if you can trade those orange ones back in where you bought them before you use them…
ya i ended up bringing those fins back. i took a pair of plastic future fish fins and cut them down and re-foiled them to the speed dialer fin dimensions. some one posted a pic of them with a ruler next to a green speedialer. cant remember who but thanks . ill post a pic soon
