Hi guys just wanting to know, what is the best surface to fibreglass my fins?

Don’t know what is best or if you are talking about fiberglass over wood. I glass(fiberglass over wood) on a flat board covered with wax paper. Mike
Anything smooth enough can be waxed. I use a coated particle board. I think it’s called Melamine. Some people use glass.
If you have a plastics shop I know they give me scraps even if I don’t want them when I mention what I’m doing. Usually a clear or white polycarbonate I think. Would be easy to remove the fins if you wax them but I think they might get scratched up if you got resin on an unwaxed spot. Not sure how good the resin bonds to it though.
I use glass from old 8x10 picture from. Buff it with a small amount of turtle wax and the fin panels peel right off.
