20 longboards under my belt now. All have been Walker and mostly Bennett’s. Just shaped my first Surfblanksamerica plug and am totally psyched on the them. AND I have access only 10min from my shack. Whoohoo!!!
Hey Surfdad! I agree. I started early using the Surfblanks Aus. that were imported here to Maui immediately following the closure of Clark. It is my understanding that Surfblanks Amer. have perfected their pouring/maufactring process, related services, warehousing and delivery/distribution and are now ready to be the priemier foam supplier in the US. Hard, white and a great finished product. A little more effort to shape, but the end product is great. The list of shapers using their foam on the West Coast is a list of some of the finest shapers in the World.
I couldnt have said it better myself. One of the best blanks Ive had the oppurtunity to shape. Very dense and hard. Itll add another 10 minites on you finishing time for sure. Barney has a s**t load of them. The fish banks are mega wide for the big boys out there. Im doing a 6’3" fish at the moment 24"s wide 6" ahead of center.Ive never found a blank that allowed me to do that without cutting down a longboard blank. Have a 7’0" to play with next …
