thanks

Many years ago Midget used to blow huge slabs of hi-density surfboard foam.
That was cut in various thicknesses mainly used in 18’ racing yachts.
But I would suspect the advent of foams such as Klegecell has taken it’s place.
Probably worth contacting him @ Surfblanks for advise…
Sammy,
Thanks. I had quickly checked the surfblanks site, but was hoping something might be available in qld. I’ve never heard of Klegecell so will check this out as well.
Bob
What type of foam are you after??
Normal surfboard foam or EPS?
I’ve been looking for EPS suppliers in Aus, so if that’s what your after let me know how you get on.
Kieran
Try Bondor if you’re after EPS.
Thanks,
I flicked their NSW office an email. Have you dealt with them before? I noticed they did international shipping.
I wonder where other Aussie sandwich board builders get EPS from.
(Sorry for hi-jacking, i’ll start my own thread for anything else)
I’ve dealt with them in NZ. Their VH grade seems quite nice to work with but all I’ve done so far is make some blanks and put some basic shape in them. Can’t get curves hot wire cut by Bondor in this neck of the woods.
This is where I got my eps from in Sydney.

They have all different grades. I got a block 1ft x 2ft x 8ft. Cost $100.00 paid cash.
Ask them what blocks they have available as it is cheaper than get a specific size cut out.
hope this helps.
Cheers,
JD
Hi Bob, Ive got Klegecell from FGI and I got the sheets with cross-hatch grooves cut in it so I dont have to hotwire / profile it. You just patch the tiny gaps and glass.
Surfblanks does PU foam blocks but its 15lb density or something like that which is way too heavy for sorfboard.
SF.
Thanks all.Thanks. I have been given some info on where sheet foam can be obtained in Qld.
SF,
I tried to e-mail you but it bounced. I had some design thoughts I wanted to discuss if that is ok.
