surfboard ID help

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about a board i purchased about 12 years ago from a russian girl in Santa Barbara. It’s a 7’4 and the only thing on it is the logo “Browning”. I’ve tried to figure out who made it but the word browning and surfboard pull up about a million items on old yellowing surfboards. Any help would be appreciated. I’m just curious about it’s history is all. Thanks again.

Your pics don’t show it, but I’m going to guess it’s a single fin? Given that it has a leash loop through the fin box it’s safe to say the board isn’t very old. Probably no older than the mid 90s. Just a hunch.

As to the name? I’m stumped. Never heard of it and even stokednboard has no entry for “Browning”. Are you in SB? Might ask around locally. Could be area specific backyarder type.

yup, it’s a single fin. I think you’re right that it is a backyard shaper, I was just curious if maybe he was on here or someone on here know them. I lived about an hour north in San Luis Obispo for a couple years and nobody knew who shaped it up there. It’s a really great board and i get compliments on it whereever I go from Hawaii, Mexico, to all over CA. Thanks for your input!

there was a browning surfboards label out of kamakura, japan in the mid to late 1980s.  i have no idea who shaped there or whether your board has anything to do with them.

perhaps?
