i was just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of where i can find a “do it yourself kit” i want to learn how to make my own board and i was just wondering if there are actually starter kits out there or packages that come with everything you need or atleast most of everything. thanks.

Yea, EZFoam has there starter kits that will give you most of the raw materials that you will need to build a board, but this is where you learn how. The board kits are OK, they might mark it up a buck or two, but you’ll get all the materials you need. I wouldn’t get the shaping or glassing kits… you can probally find some tools laying around the house or at a garage sale, use your imagination and make a few, and get the rest at home depot… you’ll save some case for sure.

Not sure where you are located, but U.S. fiberglass sells kits. Not sure how much. I believe there is a link in swaylocks somewhere. Chris.
Yea foam ez has the totall kit for you. would be good for your first board. If doing more tho i would shop around. Especially if you have to have it shipped…Prices can be kinda killers, but dont take it from me . im just a cheap bastard anyways. hehe… good luck on your 1st shape… Surf on John C.
right on, thanks so much. i actually live in brazil and am looking to open a shop in the future. this is why im thinking learning how to make my own boards would be a good investment. ill look in to what yall said, i can have things shiped to my friends house in FL. i go there about 3 times a year. i really hope this works out…oh yeah,i need some money
ok i went to there site and saw all these manufacture names. i didnt see nothing in big bright letters saying " make your own surfboard here" umm. should i just pick a company and email them and ask. i didnt realize they were companies who do not only specialize in surf but other jank. thanks

If your waiting for big neon lights to pop up, showing you how to shape a surfboard, they’re not going to just come to you… however, the big neon lights, that say “come here and buy a surfboard” will.
yeah i know about that but i was thinking i would see something that is advertised as a kit, and i wouldnt have to look for all the seperate supplys. i know i would in the future, but to get me started i was hoping there would be this.
