Surfers:The Movie

Hi,

Although this post has nothing to do with surfboard construction I thought i’d give it a go as I am running out of options…

I live in England and I cannot find a copy of Surfers:The Movie - Bill Delaney’s classic 1980s surf film.  I have looked on the internet and everywhere in the UK, but no luck…

Anyone know where I can get one in the States or anyone want to send me a copy - just for the sheer stoke of it…?

Cheers ears

pretty sure it's NOT available. a local video rental store has a copy (still) but that's it. i'm pretty sure it's "not on the market"...

these were my favorite parts of the movie (Owl footage at the end was great too)

Dora’s Interview (Classic Dora Raybans and all)

Martin Potter in Mexico

reminded me of Curren’s later “The Search” sequence at J-Bay and Fitzgerald’s earlier J-Bay footage

I surfed exclusively in Lycra shorts like his for a couple of years after watching this sequence

didn’t have that hairy barrel chest or his minami board

but I mind surfed that right forever

and “happy campah” became part of my vocabulary
