Hey American surf boarders- making a boards at home ok to make for your friends, for self, and a little side money because you like do it. But it is to smarter buy your boards from store and forget about the whole production thing! A few peoples have the skill necessary and will rise to the top with it, and most everybody else won’t. You will never compete against the big manufacturers who build their boards with cheap skilled labor. They will not sell you materials because they are owning all the materials in another country. They do not want competitors- good luck and play it safe! China is making realty good surfing boards in factories for well known American brands. You can bet that they own all world production market in a few more years and think this- you can’t beat a billion Chinese! Wise word to Swaylock readers- do it because you like it, but get self full time jobs with retirement and fat benefits. Leave surf board production to Chinese peoples who struggle to make the small living.

We also think that the surfboards produced there are not too good either. I mean, they are hardly refined in good surf by top riders are they?
