I love the sound of this but, calling around my county… Ha! Many people didn’t even know what a surform was… “Oh, that cheese grater type thing…” Yeah…
Anyone have a line on a source???

If you have a woodcraft store near you they got em
Thanks you guys - Yeah - I found 'em on Foam EZ… gotta check on shipping prices… for small stuff it often blows the savings, but heck… Since I couldn’t even find replacement parts around here anyway… Plus, I’d like to get a new “round” blade… the short, wide ones…
Thanks again
most likely at your local hardware store (Ace, HD, other)
That’s what I was tryin to say Biz… Called around, many didn’t even know what a surform was. None had micro blades… most only had 10.5 inchers…
ah…well maybe if you would have said “Stanley Surform, the cheese-grater thing” …but maybe not. Also, the other ones are by the company “Microplane”. Tell them to get off their asses and go search the aisle by the handplanes.
That’s because the short (5 1/2 inch?)microplane blades have been discontinued by the manufacturer…if you like them stock up soon.
I got my 10" surform at Harbor Freight and might have gotten my smaller one there as well. They call it a rasp but its the same thing.

In unrelated news I just saw that they are selling a vacuum pump for $17. Hummmm…
Thanks you guys - Anyone seen prices much lower on the micro-blades than Foam EZ? Cuz they had it all… came this close to ordering… Given what Keith said, I may have to get two just in case…
