It’s not uncommon for a popular web site to spawn a few suckers or bottom feeders, like that one, owned by a company in LA . They make their money off redirects and cookies, and it doesn’t take long to pay off the approximately $10-20 US it cost them to register the name per year.
If they are annoying enough then the owner of the original site buys the name for an inflated price, which is also a win for them. That, as they say, is web biz for the bottom feeders.
So, don’t hit it, don’t visit it and maybe they’ll go away when it doesn’t generate much revenue
