I had to leave early so I guess I’ll be the first to post…Great SA vibe! Swaylockians are the best bunch of folks I’ve ever met up with…good to see some old faces and meet new ones…If this is an indicator, SA2004 is going to be even better than last year. What a super couple of hours…Thanks Keith!
Yes, definitley THANKS to Keith for hosting the symposium…Great to meet you guys. I learned SOOOO much. And also a big thanks to Jay (resinhead) for showing/doing my resin tint on the bottom of my not-so-great shaped Fish, I really appreciate it. The deck came out great (went all clear), and I should finish the board by next weekend. Thanks again, that was a blast.

Sounds like someone is fishin’ for complements (no pun intended), that’s a first board for the record books. You’re gonna be sooo stoked when you get that thing wet. Good luck on number 2…
Thanks again for having us Keith, that was mighty respectable of you. May the Surf Gods send many waves your way (hopefully from a southerly direction so that the leftovers find there way up here to the OC).
It was good to meet all of you and spend an sunny afternoon talking surfboards. I certainly learned a trick or two that I will keep… and pass on.
aw mannn…I’m jealous.

Scott,
Don’t be so hard on yourself, my first (couple of) board didn’t look as good as your fish.
Had a great time and picked up a number of very helpful tips on glassing.
Kudos to Keith for putting the day together!
Thanks,
Rick
I will second everything that has already been said. It was a great day and a good time was had by all. I definitely learned alot of tapeing and glassing tips and tricks. Thanks for lettign us all come over Keith, and tell your wife thanks too. Thanks for the rides too guys. I would not have wanted to miss today. darren
Keith,
Thanks for putting that all together. Letting a bunch of strangers take over your house is pretty hospitable. Cold beer, 85 degrees, lam resin, catalyst, and a gas masks… way cool. It’s good to see there’s decent people out there, it was great meeting everyone. Hopefully we can get together and do the samething with some shaping. Tenover, I would have loved to watch the rest of the board, but I barely made it for juniors big Tee Ball game. Hope it sanded flat back in that fish butt crack. If you have any problems drop me a message.

so I got in the car and drove to the resin store and picked up a 5 gallon of laminatingand started driving to San Diego and well I just ended up at home how do ya like that I started out for SanDiego an ? aw shuck s I just gotta get a plane that truck just wont do I’m just glad you guys didnt wait for me and had a wonderful time…ambrose…I do every thing the wrong way (obtuse) any way
Hey, I’m glad everybody enjoyed themselves yesterday. Ambrose, Mike & others – wish you could have been there. It was fun (but I have to say it made me nervous glassing with a bunch of you watching!) Usually my mistakes are made in private… but all in all we’ll have to do it again. I think a shaping session would be cool… looking forward to SA 2004.
Keith
I’ll second, thirds, and fourths everything that’s been said. Thanks a ton Keith, watching Jay do Scott’s tint is really swayin’ me to tint my fish, but I really like the way clear boards look, so I’m being torn between two lovers…the clear and the tint, not Jay and Scott.;>
Anyway that was way funner than I could’ve imagined and the lessons learned will hopefully transcend into glassin my board this upcoming friday…
Can’t thank you enough Keith, and thanx again to everyone else’s tips…
Johnny.....................
I kind of like clear boards myself… if you want to see how mine turned out, look in the Glossary under “playground”
Thank you Keith (family), Jay, and everyone else who came.

Keith,
What a day, that was a lot of fun. It is always fun to put faces to the names.

Thank you again I think everybody walked away with some new knowledge in glassing
Thank you again
