Swaylocks wish list

I found this quote on another thread.  It got me thinking.  What would be on your Swaylocks wish list?  (post pics too if you can find 'em)  Like beerfan, my list would be pretty long, and would include a stoker-v.  Here's a few of my faves, off the top of my head.

Great DS, another board from the shapers gurus that i'll be dreaming about surfing!!. Man, when i think of a "wish" list for boards i want from swaylocks legends, the list just keeps getting longer and longer....

  [/quote]

Great quote beerfan, here's a few of mine

a Squish by Ace

a gun by Surfding

a midi-simmons by Spence

Stoker V by D.S.

Griffin 5-fin

This feels like being in a confessionnal, repenting for breaking the "thou shalt not covet your neighboors surfboard" comandment. Well.....at least our wifes are safe! 8)

Regardless...these are some of my favourites:

Chusma surfboards bonzer....no Idea if these guys post on Sways, I see their boards mainly on Quiver.

Tim Stafford. The Freak Fish

Chet Long's Purple Not Black Fish

One of these by nocean!

There are countelss more that I'd love to own!

Hmmmmm. . . let’s see I’d love one of the following;

Stoker V-Machine

Griffing Modfish

Paul Jensen longboard (wouldn’t mind one of Hucks wooden creations either)

Sufding shortie

Danowar Bonzer

Nocean mini simmons

Something from Speedneedle

Huie’s latest creation

Here's mine (and I've been good this year) - in no particular order.  In my opinion all of these guys are among the best in the business.

Cooperfish - 12' abstract resin retrogun

Robin Mair - 11 foot quad-finned bamboo-decked all around fun-gun  for California

Jim Phillips - 10'6" Semi-pig/'Copycat' or something along those lines

Josh Downing - Paulownia composite sandwich skinned channel bottom... preferably a longboard if he will do one

EDIT:  I just deleted more than half of my list after I realized many were guys who aren't on Swaylocks.  Sorry guys.  These board builders are still top notch.

A vintage style gun from Thrailkill.

I would like to have one of those big redwood or koa slabs made by Greg Noll. Next… would be a Jim Phillips Inter Island Gun with mutliple stringers. Lastly… a fish by the fishmaster Steve Brom.

cool thread…I like Noceans stuff, maybe a twinzer mini-sim hybrid …and Surffoils for some out there fun creation…

Lets see.  Not in order.

A Phillips 9-0 high performance longboard triple stringer with a lt. blue tint.

A Spitzer fish with the cattledog logo

Brom fish…longish… say about 6-4…triple stringer.

huie’s minisim thing currently being viewed

a Frye fish… 6-0

one of eastern pacific’s W. Rich longboards I saw a few years ago at Plaskett (most beautiful foil I ever saw).

7-6 gerry lopez lightning bolt… single fin… cuz I still want to surf like him

my shop cleaned and straighten up by the manswer's girls.........lol........but seriously.......

herb

 A SHED !!

...to get a hundred or more fins FINISHED !

1] a good 'stub' [my favourite !]

[shaped by pridmore , 'speedneedle ' , robin mair , bill barnfield , or nocean ]

 somewhere around ...

15 " nose x 6'- 6'2"  x 20" [max !!]  x 14-15" tail [ 6-7" pod ] x 2 1/4" - 2 3/8" , from a 6'4 kneeboard blank , probably .

four probox sideys , finbox back fin....

maybe deep double concave , for a bonzer3 or 5 setup , or maybe fairly flattish bottom.

either resin swirled , by 'darth vader ' , or a really nice airbrush spray [or wood vac-bagged]  by 'speedneedle' .... or martyn worthington sprayed

... or,  a gold spray [? maybe with 'sparkly bits' ?]

fins...

from my bronze metallic fleck fin panels...

a set of four [quads] ,

a set of twin keels ,

a matching single fin and bonzer side runners set .

Also , I'd use the kevlar keels .

And , for good measure ...all of the above , done in the 'glo' in the dark option, too.

2]  probably trade the 9'4 mal [? and maybe the Bob Cooper 6'4 singley  ? and some other board[s]  ?] , for about a 7' x 21" [max !!] small summer waves option board , but with a more pulled-in nose and tail than mini mals. ...similar  to the one my mate Wade rides. Set up as a single but with probox sideys , for a widowmaker setup.  I'll have to check the bottom contours on Wade's board , cos , maaan .... it FLIES !!

3] I'd also like to try some of michael mackie's and carl ekstrom's latest stuff ....and brother Simon's 'jet bottoms' , IF I only had the right waves for 'em ?!

  ben

ditto on the josh dowling channel bottom

also a balsa bill log

this is fun

a plethora of fins from Halcyon

an 8-0 egg from Huie

Channel bottom from Griffin

twinzer from Foamsta

Thrailkill 6-6 single fin

chambered balsa long board from Jim Phillips

a Forstall egg from Revolution guy

and about 10 more coils

A Velo spoon by Paul Gross (I would have to lose some considerable weight to surf it). An agave 10’ single fin log by Jim Phillips and glassed by Cleanlines (Love your DVD’s guys). A Thrailkill 7’10" singlefin squaretail all arounder (Like your hawaiian all arounder Bill). Finally a 4 board singlefin 70’s style semi guns and guns quiver by Bill Barnfield and, if he was still glassing, glassed by Kokua (You guys are very helpful and inspiring, Mahalo Bill and Kokua, Mahalo!)

Would be a long ish list:)

Heres a few:

A Vicious Kanid from Pridemore

A Bud Twin

A Speedneedle Strange Pill

A Grasshopper Springer

A Ken skateboard

Theres plenty more but I better stop there:

Let me add:

A Thrailkill OBQ "twin"

A Mike Torres Camplus fin

A George Gall PlusOneShaper asymetrical

Did the International Man of Mystery Mr. Bill Thrailkill accidentally allow himself to be photographed?

Just kidding around Bill, but you are not exactly an easy guy to get an image of.

To keep it on topic, I’m onto the next close set twin, thinned out (relative statement there…maybe 3 inches thick), 6’10 to 7’2 length, maybe 22 wide… you know the one. with the larger fins out on the corners of the tail

wanted to post Bill’s hand modeling with groovy shirt, but couldn’t find it quickly.

Oh yeah… many many others I would want, Stoker V by DS, Josh Dowling, ACE, Jim Phillips, Greg Griffin, and on and on…

Every time I log in to this place I can hear the dollars running out of my wallet.

Yep, and IIRC that IS the OBQ  twinnie behind him!  Man I wish I had paid more attention at the time, but like they say, hindsight is 20-20, eh? (please excuse my crude photoshopping)

Let me add: a McCoy Nugget - because Bursie said so, and when Burnsie speaks, I listen!

oh yeah definately a bud twin fin - but it would have to be picked up from him and surfed at rocky point and some other less crowded spots on the other side of waimea. and while i am over there, pick up a bill barnfield 7’0 pintail for rolling in easy and getting pitted!

I want another lump of coal.

Add to the collection.

An HWS gun by Huckleberry…
