anybody on the east coast know if we are going to get an early swell from this other hurricane, my swell projector did’nt show much.
depends on where your at i guess, for us in NC i believe that the call will be late tommorow (hopefully) but we should definitely start seein some this weekend.
“Ivan’s waves — some up to 25 feet — were already destroying homes along the Florida coast Wednesday. Twelve-foot waves boomed ashore at Gulf Shores, Ala., eroding the beach. A buoy about 300 miles south of Panama City registered waves over 34 feet high.”
Anyone get a piece of that action?
look and see: http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/rmd.shtml . The Canaveral East buoy is reporting an 8.3 second swell, track it up the coast.
Lots more goodies here http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/forecast_text.html
hope that’s of use
doc…
We on the west coast of Fla had some overhead surf, wedges and barrels for those who knew where to go. The panhandle had some insane surf…before the hammer dropped…prayers for those in the way of that monster…peace and waves…
south florida should get a pulse through providence channel on sunday/monday. aside from that, it’ll need to clear the bahama bank before it sends me waves where i’m at…might need to go north.
