what would happen if you spray painted a board orange... let it dry and then glass with a yellow swirl ?? would the yellow show up??????????? thanks sadony
Ooooh, be careful, I’ve seen that tried. You’ll wind up with a purple and green metalflake finish!
Just kidding.
But seriously, that’s a very interesting idea, I think you should try it! Maybe use less complimentary colors so you get some more change where the swirls are, like maybe a yellow base with a blue swirl. If you spray on more than one color on your base, maybe a couple of colors in a rising-sun sort of pattern, then the effect of color change with the swirl will be more noticiable.
Whatever you do, make sure you post photos of the process here!
If i ever finish my twingle ( twin fin and single in one ), im gunna spray paint some red ( or maybe yellow )onto the blank, then use fire orange tint in my lam resin. Hope it adds some depth. Worth a try i reckon.
P.S I actually might try it soon, i have a big section of nose left from a blank, and i have resin, and the tint. If i can get out later, i’ll go and buy either a red, or yellow spray can, and try it out on the foam. When its dry, i’ll add some lamm resin over the top, and see how it turns out. I will post pics. I go back to work for 4 days from tomorrow, so it might not be right away, but i will do it.
