T.A. Liddle/Greenough/Norm flex fins

Send your address to and I’ll mail you a nice used 9" Liddle flex fin to experiment with. It’s a genuine Liddle direct from Kaui - Greg was nice enough to sell me a couple. One was for a vintage Liddle my brother gave me. The other went to a friend of mine who found that it didn’t have enough area so I traded a different fin to get it back. My brother then found the old original one in his garage so now I have three. If you like it, we can work out a reasonable price.

THEN compare the various fins to each other IN THEIR IDEAL LOCATION. DO > NOT try to sort out fins with each other until their best placement is > pre-determined. Bdw. won’t the location depend on the wavesise and wavetype as well? Or doesn’t the wave matter that much once you’ve found the ideal location for the fin? regards, Håvard

Way cool, John. You da man… you can get fins direct from Liddle or KP(who lives in so.cal.)cost will be around $50.00.to get a hold of KP, just post a message here for him and he’ll get it.

Bdw. won’t the location depend on the wavesise and wavetype as well? Or > doesn’t the wave matter that much once you’ve found the ideal location for > the fin?>>> regards,>>> Håvard My experience is that moving a given fin around in a board to suit various wave conditions doesn’t really enhance range of that board. Changing from one fin to another, each in their ideal location, seems like a better way to make that board more versitile. Just my opinion!

I hope nobody minds me bringing this back from the dead, but I thought my question would be most relevant here.

I have a 7’6 single fin egg (its wide and thick) and am looking for a fin. I don’t have any experience with flex fins and would like to give them a try. After reading this and some other posts, I think I’m going to give the Liddle Flex fin a shot.

However there are so many options, which would you recommend? And what is the best size to get?
