hi I already tried the archives on this one and couldn’t find anything. I just did my hotcoat last night and it is still a little tacky this morning, I used the last bit of surfacing agent that I had in the batch and thought that I had used enough but, I guesse not. Now I’m not sure wether it’s okay to sand or not, just wondering wether anyone could help me out. thanks a bunch simon
Shooting a thin hot coat over the first one would be the easiest way to make the sanding reasonable. If you want to sand the exsisting hot coat, you can wipe it down with acetone on a clean rag, then bust the surface with many sheets of sandpaper (which will load up) and then it will sand from there normally.
If your not in a hurry let it sit for a day or so. If your in So.Cal. This weather has been throwing kick times off a bit. It will harden it might take a day or so more, just as long as it’s not sticky as in bugs will go Jurassic park a la La Brea Tar Pits. -Jay
