i’m looking for some tail block wood, preferrably laminated. can anyone spare any? and what type of glue is used to stick 'em on? kirk
5 min epoxy.
There was a post a week or so back that was pretty cool. If you don’t have acess to a table saw to rip pieces of materal you can go to the Home depot and get paint stir sticks (Basswood) and some Bender Board (Red Wood) and glue up your own tail blocks. If you get the big stir sticks there 1/4 thick, the same for the bender board. So for about $4 you can have all the tail blocks you can use in a long time. Cut them to rough shape with a jig saw, glue and finish. -Jay
Jay, Very cool idea, thanks! kirk
Also try a hobby store a good one they have precut pieces of balsa basswood redwood and usually some others , i use my grinders to shape to finish then clean em up with 120. I use standard hot melt glue to put em on.
