Tail Block

I have built 2 long boards so far and my biggest disappointment is that I can’t get a tail block to bond to the foam. I have tried polyester resin and also epoxy resin. The problem is that the resin doesn’t cure between the block and the foam. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Frank

Use hotmelt glue.Just put some on the block and press it to the board by hand hold it in place for a few seconds and BINGO you’re done!Herb.

Herb; You mean like a hot glue gun my wife uses for her school class? Thanks, Frank

I also like to use my planer to clean up the edge before glueing.

I like polyurethane glue… it bonds to ALL wood… Foam - perfect.

I’ve only set one tail block. I used white glue. It worked fine.>>> I like polyurethane glue… it bonds to ALL wood… Foam - perfect.
