Tail/Nose Rocker

I have a “noob” question for you all. How do you measure tail/nose rocker? Where does the measurement begin and end?

…remove fins, lay it down on a flat surface, bottom down, and measure at the tits…I mean tips.Herb

I think you’re also supposed to ballance the board on the center line.

If you take enough measurements you will get the same curve…er rocker using Herb’s or Noodle’s method. If you just measure the tip and tail…er, transom, then you may get different answers. So it kinda depends on what you are going to use it for. If you are trying to replicate someone elses rocker, get as many measurements as you can, say every 6 inches…er, half-foot. That way the points will relate to each other rather than the floor or level. I prefer the center-point level with a beam although Herb’s quick and dirty…er, efficient method will get you a rough idea. Once you pick a method, stay with it for consistency both in measuring your rocker during shaping or evaluating someone elses rocker.

Thank you all, now I understand…
