i am at work in wales uk on a night shift and thinking about my new longboard. I was thinking 15 at the tail 22 1/2 wide point and 19. concave in the nose and double concave or v on the tail. may be a diamond on pin tail.
getting board and would rather be in the shed than at work!!!
i know what its like, mike;i work nights for the big rat in fla. plenty of time to think…so do just that. you want progressive? something a little thinner, possibly lighter in the nose(narrower than 19")so manuverability isn’t an issue, removeable sidebites so thats always an option, decent rocker(depending on your paddling ability and normal wave conditions)tucked rails aft so the rear doesn’t suck and slow you down, possibly some concaves front & rear if you have some examples you can recieve some input on their performance. many people have bought contempory longboards to use as a traditional longboards, then complain because it didn’t paddle well or catch every swell. think about what you want, don’t be in a rush and don’t be afraid to ask questions. it’s your board. enjoy life!
