hi guys !
This morning , I finally got to take out the huge fin you sent me , as the water is now deep enough that it won't drag on the sandbar !
I must say that the 'fin tab saver ' thing you guys sent with it , is GREAT ! [can't wait to salvage two of my other fin box single fins that the screw tab broke off on ! ]
The surf was high tide , glassy [and it was a 4 degree morning so.... pretty empty , early]...around shoulder high on the very rare 'bomb set' ...
I caught a HEAP of waves on the 9'4 with this fin , and with just my mate Wade and his mate Dion for company

fun fun fun !
cheers again !

This fin , at nearly 11" deep [?!] and 7" [!] base , is 3" deeper than the biggest fin I use on this board , and that's a 2" longer base than my biggest boxed fin , so it certainly felt like a LOT of fin ! Especially during this afternoon's surf , the second for the day ...the swell had dropped , it was mostly waist high .... but at least , combined with a lower tide , there was a longer run to the rights , yeehaa ! Matt and I got some fun ones , and Ross the boss's nephew Ben got a few on his 6'6 quad , too .
I'll probably leave the template as it is for now , as I'm guessing it's ? probably a noseriding type design ? so I'll try a bit of that first , before probably reducing the size , later ...
cheers Andrew !

..... HERE is the 'fin tab saver' that I mentioned ...

Cool ben!. I frigging love my big arse 10'' dolphin in my longboard. Like buttah. Though honestly haven't surfed it since getting my 5'9'' twisted mistress!
cheers Mark / 'beery' !
here's another rescue this tab helped me with ...
...another waaay tooo biggg fin for my liking [ and for this board ... I've only put it in there for "illustration purposes" !] ....
but I'll try this in my 9'4 ...as a single fin , first !

I have a couple more fins I can use these fin tab saving devices on , too....
....stay tuned ....
