Are you following Roy’s building approach ?
Yes, infact Roy helped me come up with my plans and is helping me step by step.

looks like a fun project… lots of tinkering… i made a balsa board last summer and got so involved in the construction and finished apperance and feel that i kinda forgot to think about how it would ride… 6’11 just over 11lbs and soooooooo stiff after about two waves i started to laught at myself. It reminded me of the time when i built a desk for a guy and couldn’t get it into his house (i actually didn’t laugh at that one for about a year)… anyhow its a nobel undertaking however it turns out, my suggestion is use as little glass on the outside as possible, like if i did mine over i would have used 2oz…
best of luck…

Iv’e been wondering how this thing is going to ride scince ive never riden or even seen a short wooden board before, but either way its been a great experience building it. im already collecting some agave stalks for a second board, proably a little longer then 6’ 1". agave is much like balsa, but its lighter, softer, and its free.
