the channel bottom photo thread and... Kong's Island

Post shots of your channel bottoms.

Kong’s Island is a great movie! i highly recomend it. Kong, Rabbit and Chappy riding channel bottoms in nice waves with good humoures adventureful story line.

yep ,“cream puff trees” rule !

… try to get hold of the vid “mad wax” next , Josh !

[it features kong again , along with tom carroll , and [Avoca surfer ?] ross clarke jones , in the 1980s …I think they may have even filmed some of it at Avoca , from memory ?]

ben

and …"jungle jet set " , too …featuring the elusive “Uva” !!!

Where’s the photos? Here’s my 6 channel- a Jeff Biggs 6-10 x 19 x 2 5/8.

I loved the swirl and it was a super fast board but not loose enough for my tastes, which is why it’s for sale- $150. Interested parties can PM.

The next small wave board I make I want to try a smaller 6 channel to havev some of the drive and speed but that will also fit into smaller surf.

" Where’s the photos?"

…on previous channel bottom threads I have posted on . (I have long since deleted those photos from my photo collection on my computer )

I “could” copy them one by one onto this thread , I suppose , but then , so “could” anyone elseplease ??

I don’t know if [m]any others here ride channel bottoms , Josh , so it may not be that interesting for people , perhaps …

cheers ,

ben

i’ll find some photos…i’ve got a new computer so mine got deleted too.

Channel bottoms are fun!

Edit: okay this ones from the master, Al Byrne,

And a Neil Purchase Widow Maker…

in action…

from “glass love”.

i see those Neil Purchase shots didn’t work… oh well check the widowmaker semi gun thread.

Now, here is my channel bottom.

it flys!

Hi Josh, I noticed your channels are toed in, whereas the master’s are straight. Can you give us your feedback about the difference in the ride? Any dims for the Byrne?

Josh, Channel bottoms are lots of fun, and who has more fun than kids?? Big kids!!!

I like the job you did there, and yes, I’d also like to know how the toe-in affects the ride…

Here’s a couple of photos of my favorite wave kiteboard (I know a little/lot off topic)

It’s a single channel at each end with a 1/4" single concave under the middle of the board…

Hope you guys don’t mind…
