Nice little vid and the board looks sweet. Are you the guy that made the aluminum mold with red fiberglass/resin finboxes? What was the black lam in the tail? Just black ink on rice paper or was it something structural like carbon fiber?
A couple of things, why no lap on the bottom lam, and get a wider brush (3") for your fill coats and push the resin from the center out towards the rail in full strokes. Okay, three things, you can roll your deck cloth back from the nose and tail making it much easier to roll it back out after laying down your lams.
Sorry, forgot to mention that the black stuff is unidirectional Carbon fiber. Very thin stuff, 50g or so - so just optic.
Thanks for your advice. I dont do a freelap on the bottom cause I think 400g of cloth is enough for the rails. Dont know, Never had Problems with that.
I didn't notice in the vid, did you do a full double lap from the deckside? I agree, that's plenty glass on the rails. Just seems like it would be hard to keep the rail edges drip and fiber free not running a lap from the bottom to the deck side. If you're neat enough, I don't see why that wouldn't work.
