I watched a movie called ,“The Wild Angels” w/ Peter Fonda and Nancy Sinatra.
The clip in the beginning shows Pete riding his hog down PCH at the Huntington Cliffs(1966)=Parking on the streets,uncrowded surf and oh ya,all those oil wells now…multi-millon dollar homes…I now wonder if those folks that bought into those homes realize that there property was a toxic sludge pit for some 60 years prior.

The Wild Angels carved the way for a movie named, “Easy Rider” . It made it to be more readily excepted…hence…Multi-Academy Awards.
W/o the Wild As…EZ would have never made it as big…right spot…in the right time zone…

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched parts of that movie on cable these past few months…up all night with an old dog…up early grappling with The Big Questions…or just stuck…
Like watching various Beach Party movies to see the beach I used to live on for a while in the 1970’s…went for a decade without much change…and today it still looks pretty much like it did then… but the pace of life flowing by on PCH has turned from “flow” to “flood”…Like friends watching “Big Wednesday” just for the auto-bullfighting scene to see the trees at the Overhead…you name it, we pretty much all have those places…
I was out picking avocados and I stepped in a pile of The Past…can’t scrape it out of the soles of the running shoes.
Another California flat spell continues…
the chupacabra should be good at gloss coats and polishing too
