the Green smile ....

Well, the “greenpin” 5’7" finally got launched this afternoon .

And even though the surf was …er… crap , basically …

it’s funny how just paddling out on my own “creation” always puts a smile on my dial !!

know what I mean ?? say no morrrre…

Yeeew! so how did it go!!!??? Even in the crap I’m sure you got some waves! what fin?

Josh.

well actually the 7.5" polycarbonate JB1 fin from multi fins …

gotta make a second one of those that I made for the moonrocket .

With all this wood core and finbox base moulding , I DEFINATELY need a quiver of 10 single fins [one for each of mine , plus hicksy’s three .

Well , I didn’t have to duckdive , but I can tell you it paddles well [thick under the chest [weird foil] .

And , it did one backhand cutback that felt a bit quicker responding than on my 5’7 stubbie [not surprising really …the ‘g.p.’ is 1 1/2 " narrower at the widepoint, and 1 1/2" narrower in the nose , and 2" narrower in the tail than the stub !

Abloke I was surfing with thought I should use my winged keel fin on it . I want to use that in the stubbie first , but I may on a bigger winter day give it a try in the greenie !

I caught four lefts , and three rights…unfortunately the onshore strengtened to about 15 knot after I had caught four waves , so it turned to mud pretty quickly.

it’s “supposed” to be offshore tomorrow though … [?and swell ??] …wait and see…

[ cottesloe is a beach about 6 miles south of me… Rottnest is miles / kilometres offshore ! ]

NEDDIE WOULD GO …
