The Itch

Help. I sanded off my crappy looking resin acid swirl that I did in the hotcoat, down to the glass to have another go at it. Wore short sleaves and trunks. Now, I’ve got the itch so bad… it stings, and can’t get it off. It feels like a billion ants. Expierence is the best teacher - next time I cover up.

So, my question is, Is there anything to relieve the itching? (boy did open myself up w/ that one).

Did a search and couldn’t find the answer.

  1. apply over itchy areas

  2. remove

a cold shower and an good scrub. (serious)

The itch is just part of the fun, enjoy it while it lasts… go for a surf, it is the ONLY cure…

get one of those spa exfoliating and deep cleaning mudd masks or just plain mud/concrete mud and lay on a thick and let it dry then peel it off.

It should remove a good potion of the fibers as it takes off the top layer of dermis(skin) and cleans the pores.

I’m allergic to the dust so when I get exposed I break out as I suffer.

OOPS!

I posted in the thread that “sirwanksalot” linked to by mistake - anyway…

My cousin worked as a brickie/joiner/general construction legend for many a year and sometimes had rolls of fibreglass insulation on site. If he took a break to get some rest he’d roll out one of the rolls to use as a mattress, use some more as a pillow and go to sleep on it.

Never bothered him.

He used to put it up with bare hands too.

When I crawl around loft spaces (comes with my job) I get itchy forearms, but nothing so bad I can’t handle it. A good shower after getting home usually comes in handy - gets all the other grime off too.

Has anyone actually tried duct tape for this? Can’t decide whether it’s a beautifully simple idea, or a beautifully stupid one. Haha.
