A good many of my sharp edges have gradually been rounded off. I actively try to be more patient with, and understanding of others. Considering issues and situations from perspectives other than my own. Ive walked quite a few miles in other peoples shoes, and thats often hard on the feet. I still have strong personal opinions, but I realize now thats all many of them really are. Over the years, I`ve also grown to view surfing more as a diamond… composed of beautiful facets which represent distinct, yet related, aspects of the whole. Have I lost something along the way, or is this just the next pathway along my journey as a surfer?
