what’s the story with the widowmaker?
hiya Kirk , thanks for asking [i THOUGHT the 'widowmaker' might interest you , seeing we share the same stoke on them !!]
well , it was made in vicco by Simon's shaper / mate Greg Hogan , and it has been ridden by Simon on his overseas jaunts [where he is now...]
maybe we'll need to ask him in another three months ? [i hope he brings it with him when he comes here to Perth, i'd be KEEN AS , to give it a go !]
i think from memory he rides it as a singley just as much as a widow.
Also, there is a green and blue railed earlier version of this same board in last year's Rip Curl catalogue , by the way ...
i noticed 'they' [rip curl] photoshopped out the Island Surfboards logo , though , on the poster on the local , newly opened 'Rip Curl Superstore' , here in Scarborough .....
